Removing BreakMade Plugin

How to safely remove the BreakMade plugin while preserving your site's functionality.

If you need to remove the BreakMade plugin, follow these guides based on your setup. The removal process differs depending on whether you have HeadSpin Mode enabled.

Before uninstalling BreakMade, understand what will happen:

What Remains After Removal

  • Colors in Breakdance: Colors registered to Breakdance stay but become fixed
  • Typography Presets: Remain in Breakdance
  • CSS Variables: Only work if you keep the CSS file or use a replacement
  • Designs/Templates: Stay in your pages but may need variable sources

What You Lose

  • Color Editing: Can’t edit palette colors without reinstalling
  • Variable Management: No UI for spacing/color variables
  • Design Set Features: No new design set installations
  • Sync Features: No auto-sync between BreakMade and Breakdance

Temporary Deactivation

If you just need to temporarily disable BreakMade:

  1. Go to Plugins in WordPress admin
  2. Find BreakMade
  3. Click Deactivate
  4. Your settings are preserved
  5. Reactivate anytime to restore functionality

Note: Deactivation will show a warning if HeadSpin Mode is enabled, as designs may display incorrectly.
