Removing Without HeadSpin Mode

Step-by-step guide to removing BreakMade when using Native mode only.

This guide is for sites using BreakMade in Native mode. If you have HeadSpin Mode enabled, see Removing With HeadSpin Mode instead.

Pre-Removal Checklist

  • HeadSpin Mode is disabled
  • Admin access to WordPress
  • Site backup completed
  • Custom color values documented

Step-by-Step Removal

Step 1: Sync CSS to Breakdance

This step is crucial - it preserves your styles after removal:

  1. Go to BreakMade settings
  2. Click Sync CSS to BD
  3. Wait for confirmation

This copies all CSS variables into Breakdance’s custom CSS.

Step 2: Deactivate & Delete

  1. Go to Plugins in WordPress admin
  2. Click Deactivate on BreakMade
  3. Click Delete to remove

Step 3: Install Button Element (If Needed)

If you use BreakMade button components:

  1. Download BreakMade Button Element
  2. Upload and activate the plugin

Note: Colors become fixed - you cannot edit them without reinstalling.

Troubleshooting

Styles broken? Clear all caches, hard refresh browser.

Missing buttons? Install Button Element plugin.

Variables undefined? CSS sync may have failed - reinstall temporarily and re-sync.

Reinstalling Later

Simply upload and activate BreakMade - your Breakdance colors are preserved.
