How to Report a Bug

Via Contact Form

  1. Visit our contact page
  2. Select “Bug Report” as the topic
  3. Fill out the bug report details
  4. Include screenshots if possible
  5. Submit the form

  • BreakMade Version: Found in BreakMade settings
  • WordPress Version: Found in Dashboard → Updates
  • Breakdance Version: Found in Breakdance → About
  • PHP Version: Found in Tools → Site Health → Info

Bug Description

  • What happened: Describe the unexpected behavior
  • What should happen: Describe the expected behavior
  • Steps to reproduce: List exact steps to recreate the issue

Finding Version Information

BreakMade Version

  1. Go to WordPress Admin
  2. Navigate to BreakMade
  3. Version shown in the header or footer

WordPress Version

  1. Go to Dashboard → Updates
  2. Version shown at the top

Breakdance Version

  1. Go to Breakdance → About
  2. Or check the Breakdance header in settings

PHP Version

  1. Go to Tools → Site Health → Info
  2. Expand “Server” section
  3. Find “PHP version”

Common Issues

Before Reporting

Check if your issue matches these common scenarios:

Colors Not Syncing

  1. Check “Do Not Sync Colors” is disabled
  2. Clear all caches
  3. Re-save the palette

Variables Not Working

  1. Verify BreakMade CSS is enabled
  2. Check for typos in variable names
  3. Clear browser cache

HeadSpin Mode Issues

  1. Ensure HeadSpinUI is active
  2. Re-run data merge
  3. Check for unconverted variables

Styles Not Appearing

  1. Clear WordPress cache
  2. Clear CDN cache
  3. Refresh Breakdance editor
  4. Check for CSS conflicts

After Submitting

What Happens Next

  1. Acknowledgment: We’ll confirm receipt of your report
  2. Investigation: Our team investigates the issue
  3. Reproduction: We attempt to reproduce the bug
  4. Fix: If confirmed, we work on a fix
  5. Release: Fix included in next update
  6. Notification: You’re notified when fixed

Response Times

  • Critical Bugs: Within 24-48 hours
  • Standard Bugs: Within 1 week
  • Low Priority: Addressed in regular update cycle

Temporary Workarounds

While waiting for a fix, you might try:

  • Disable conflicting plugins: Temporarily disable other plugins
  • Use alternate method: Check docs for alternate approaches
  • Custom CSS: Apply manual CSS as temporary fix
  • Previous version: Rollback to last working version
